REGULATIONS

of the International Leontief Award

“For Contribution to Economic Reforms”

 

The Public Committee for Awarding at the Leontief Centre established the International Leontief medal for “Contribution to Economic Reforms” in commemoration of Wassily Leontief Centenary.

  1. The International Leontief medal is given to outstanding Russian and International scholars and specialists for their personal contribution to the development of economic science, creation of effective institutions of market economy and conditions for sustainable economic growth.
  2. Each year the Public Committee for Awarding at the Leontief Centre, in case of necessity, defines nominations in which the International Leontief medal is awarded.
  3. The decision on awarding is made by the Public Committee for Awarding at the Leontief Centre on the basis of award recommendations, received from scientific organizations and unions, associations and public figures.
  4. The medal is awarded by the Public Committee for Awarding at the Leontief Centre yearly in the framework of the annual conference “Leontief Readings”.
  5. The medal is accompanied by a certificate of the established pattern.
  6. The production of the medals for the annual award of the nominees is carried out by the Leontief Centre on behalf of the Public Committee for Awarding.
